I am not sure if that would make it better or worse, but I think it could improve the film. Maybe we will see that as a director's cut someday.Kevyn Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17840497589713234794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5161637385294744810.post-80928588317109457762012-12-07T08:30:13.013-05:002012-12-07T08:30:13.013-05:00I read that Dominik edited the movie a lot and it ...I read that Dominik edited the movie a lot and it might explain why the script is so poor and that there are only few interesting moments more than a whole decent film together.
in fact, I must say that I was way much harsh than you in my review... For me, Killing Them Softly is a huge deception.MPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08366182655374603950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5161637385294744810.post-46621390833493714262012-12-06T23:23:52.657-05:002012-12-06T23:23:52.657-05:00Well, ain't that a hell of a cunundrum.Well, ain't that a hell of a cunundrum.Kevyn Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17840497589713234794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5161637385294744810.post-68701194686906818712012-12-06T23:23:21.690-05:002012-12-06T23:23:21.690-05:00Well, ain't that a hell of a cunundrum.Well, ain't that a hell of a cunundrum.Kevyn Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17840497589713234794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5161637385294744810.post-51902533126922014822012-12-06T20:06:31.021-05:002012-12-06T20:06:31.021-05:00As a reader of Cogan's Trade, I can tell you t...As a reader of Cogan's Trade, I can tell you that the main problem with Dominik is that he's trying too hard not to be Tarantino. The Gandolfini scenes come closest to Higgins's actual flavor because Dominik lets the dialogue breathe. But this proves that Dominik couldn't win. Had he been more faithful to Higgins's dialogue, he'd be slammed even more for imitating Tarantino, because Tarantino imitates Higgins.
